A Savvy Event is an event planning and design company located in wine country. Kelly McLeskey-Dolata started A Savvy Event in 2007 because she has always had a love for all things beautiful, fun, unique, creative and detailed. A Savvy Event does all types of weddings and events in and around the bay area, and beyond. On the weekends and even weekdays we are planning and designing weddings, birthday parties, showers, anniversaries and just about every milestone event you can think of!

Kelly founded A Savvy Event in 2007 with the belief that planning your wedding should be a fun and rewarding experience without the hassle. With a life-long love for throwing impeccable parties, her events are always fabulous and flawless from start to finish!
Having spent many years working for both The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company & Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Kelly established a high degree of integrity and communication with a commitment to excellence. Kelly’s background and study of interior design elevated her natural eye for detail, passion for beauty and flawless design sense.
Kelly is a proven professional with over 10 years of experience in planning, consulting and coordinating events in the corporate and wedding industries. Her weddings have been featured in numerous publications, including Grace Ormond, The Knot, Martha Stewart Weddings, SF Brides Magazine, 7x7SF, The Sonoma Wedding Guide and Wine Country Magazine. She has also been recognized in many of today’s top online wedding websites and Style Blogs. Kelly was once described as “The Worlds Best Wedding Planner” on JuneBugWeddings.com. She has helped over 500 couples create unforgettable wedding day memories!

Meren’s passion and propensity for event planning was evident from a very young age. Meren embodies the distinct qualifications of a successful coordinator. Her peaceful nature and meticulous attention to detail can put even the most frenzied bride at ease!
She began her career in the event industry at the age of 16 and continued to develop her skills through a series of relevant positions. From interning and serving at multiple catering companies to acting as event manager at local venues, she worked her way up to assistant coordinator for several successful event planners before joining the A Savvy Event team in 2010.
Meren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Hotel Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University in May of 2008 before moving back to her hometown of Marin, CA. Being a hopeless romantic, Meren has passion and enthusiasm for all things wedding!
Jill brings over a decade of wedding and corporate planning to A Savvy Event. In addition, her extensive background in the culinary world allows her to create unforgettable and creative menus that tap into the amazing resources in the wine country and Bay Area.
Jill makes it a goal to really get to know her clients, ensuring each event truly reflects their personality and visions. Her attention to detail guarantees everything will be done to the utmost standard. One of her clients perfectly described Jill’s work style saying: “She impeccably planned my wedding with ease and such professionalism. Jill graciously incorporated all our ideas and gave us the most breathtaking wedding day! Jamie Fields is a fifth generation San Franciscan that acknowledges her affection and slight bias in favor of the City by the Bay. Her native New Yorker husband is an incredibly supportive and understanding man. Jamie’s pride and joy is their gorgeous daughters, Chloe and Brooke.
Jamie is a veteran of the hospitality industry with 10+ years experience. She began her career with New York’s B.R. Guest Restaurants, booking and managing events at such Manhattan hotspots as Blue Water Grill, Dos Caminos, Ruby Foo’s & Fiamma. She continued her career pursuits at The Fairmont Hotel San Francisco atop Nob Hill.
As manager of the Catering Group, Jamie drove business planning every aspect, from intake to close out, for all events, ranging from special awareness fundraisers, nonprofit functions, and political events, to corporate parties and grand weddings. Jamie is a sucker for champagne toasts, towering cakes and first dances. She will organize your wedding from soup to nuts with confidence and enthusiasm.
Brittany earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with the intention of working as an event planner. Brittany’s career began in the hospitality industry where she gained an appreciation and understanding of first-class service and attention to detail. She continued her education with an assignment in France, where she developed her affection for meticulously crafted events.
Brittany’s work at A Savvy Event focuses around her love for beautiful celebrations as well as her commitment to education and service. Her incredibly caring spirit is evident in every project she pursues. Brittany currently lives in Santa Rosa with her husband Scott and their beautiful son Griffin and daughter Evelyn.
Moving to Napa Valley almost 10 years ago was the best decision Brittany has ever made. After overseeing the events departments at a handful of family-owned wineries, she made the move to Auberge du Soleil where she planned and executed nearly 250 weddings. With a degree in Art History and a love for food, wine and travel, Brittany has the keen sense of style and expertise that brides are looking for when planning their wedding. Using the stunning Napa Valley backdrop as inspiration, she knows that each wedding should reflect the individuality of the couple – and that their special day should reflect the love that they have for each other.
Event Producer & Office Manager
Allison grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sonoma County. She is truly passionate about event planning and organizing. Allison loves celebrating special moments and milestones and is thrilled to be able to work with our fun and savvy clients! Allison worked for 10 years in the non-profit sector as an Event Planner, Office Manager, Program Manager and Executive Assistant. Allison has a B.A. in Environmental Studies and an M.A. in Geography and Natural Resource Management.
She loves that her role at A Savvy Event allows her to work in the office and outdoors among all the gorgeous scenery of Wine Country and Northern California. She would love to help you plan your wedding, special event, or children’s party! She lives with her husband Dustin and daughter Isabella in Novato, CA.
Katie has been working in the service industry for 6 years. She began in restaurants and eventually became a catering server. While catering these lavish events and weddings, she instantly fell in love with the wedding industry. After finishing her BA in Psychology from Sacramento State, she became an Intern at A Savvy Event. After her internship, Katie was brought onto the team as an Associate Producer. She loves her job and would love to work with you on your wedding.
Jess has always had a passion for creating, planning and designing. Starting as a young girl decorating and “assisting” with parties and holidays. Shortly after college in Santa Barbara, Jess found herself working in the restaurant business to gain hospitality experience then moved on to corporate event planning.
Her event experience began in 2006 working as an event manager for a corporate event company. She quickly moved to managing weddings and it was there she found her love and passion for planning.
Planning events in Southern California has been a dream come true. With an abundance of venues, including beaches and hotels,planning amazing weddings and special occasions has been the most rewarding job for her! Jess has a strong work ethic and always puts her clients first. Creating the visions of her clients is truly a blessing. Jess is detailed, organized and always listening to her clients needs.

Weddings and events are Courtney’s passion! With over 5 years of experience Courtney’s bright smile and meticulous attention to detail embodies what every couple is looking for in a planner.
Courtney earned her business degree at Pepperdine University and graphic design certification at UCLA. Courtney’s background in graphic design established her love for creativity, eye for detail, and commitment to customer service excellence. In 2010 Courtney started working for an event venue as the events manager and wedding coordinator and truly found her niche. She continuously goes above and beyond to make sure that her client’s visions are brought to life, all the while making it a fun, organized, and creative process. She currently lives in Sonoma with her husband Chris and 3 dogs, Charger, Buck, and Bentley! Courtney is thrilled to be part of the A Savvy Event team and is looking forward to meeting you!
From the very beginning, Holly knew she was meant to plan and produce weddings and events. With a strong urge to meet new people, travel, learn new cultures, and make people happy, Holly has excelled in the event planning industry for 7 years. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Holly earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design with the intention to transform spaces into memorable one-of-a-kind events. Getting to know her clients personally allows her to fully understand the client’s vision. As one of her most recent clients stated, “Holly’s poise, guidance, and organization helped us through our wedding planning process. She embodies the perfect balance of business and fun: she is creative and enjoys sharing/discussing ideas, but she also has a get-it-done (and get-it-done-RIGHT!) attitude. Lisa is a branding and marketing professional with over 13 years of experience

A Los Angeles native, Lisa began her career in the entertainment
industry in Public Relations on the set of Warner Brothers’, “EXTRA.” Her experience
on the hit show propelled her into becoming a freelance TV producer, giving her
the opportunity to work on some of television’s most successful and highest rated
shows, including, “Celebrity Apprentice,” “The Bachelor,” “The Real World” and “America’s
Next Top Model.”
Lisa’s ability to seamlessly pair brands with television networks led to cross-promotional
marketing opportunities which leveraged her relationships with high-profile magazines
such as US Weekly, OK! and Life & Style. From Red Carpet events to television shows
to blogs and magazines, Lisa has worked and made a lasting impression among some
of Hollywood’s finest A-Listers, including Victoria Beckham, Tyra Banks, Jennifer
Lopez, and Hugh Hefner. Her clients’ various products have also made their way into
the hands of dozens of shows including, NBC’s “Today Show, E!’s “The Girls Next
Door,” ABC’s “The Bachelor” and ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”.
Lisa’s creativity, her knack for thinking outside the box and her experience in
production makes for a perfect transition into the world of Wedding & Event Planning!
She and her husband reside in Marin County where they are raising their children.
